Surface Finishing

Laser-cut edges carry a slight burr. Choose in the configurator whether your parts come as cut or deburred, and we handle the rest.

Available finishes

Raw / as cut

All materials

Straight off the laser. The cut edges carry the slight burr and heat tint typical of laser cutting, and from about 3 mm they can be sharp.

Deburred (ground, one side)

All materials

We grind the burr off the side where the laser leaves it, so the edges there are clean and safe to handle. You will see fine grinding marks on that side. The other side stays as it came off the laser.

Deburred (tumbled)

All materials

Your parts go into a tumbler with abrasive media. This removes the burr, rounds off every edge and gives both sides a matte surface.

Why one side is enough

The laser only leaves a burr on the underside, where the beam exits the sheet. The top edge comes out clean, so there is nothing to deburr there. That is why grinding one side is enough.
