Frequently asked questions

What file formats can I upload?

We accept DXF drawings and STEP files (.stp and .step). Drop your file into the builder and you'll get an instant price. You can make adjustments right in the browser, without re-uploading the part.

Do I need CAD software to order?

No, you can start from one of our templates or sketch your part from scratch in the browser. The platform guides you through every step, and real engineers are a message away in case of questions.

Which materials can you cut?

Aluminium AlMg3 (EN AW-5754), steel as DC01 below 3 mm and S355MC from 3 mm up, stainless 1.4301 (X5CrNi18-10), and C75 spring steel in the hardened and tempered condition. All from certified suppliers with full traceability. We add new materials regularly, so if you need a specific one, just get in touch.

What thickness can you cut?

From 0.2 mm up to 6 mm, depending on the material. The available thickness options update automatically once you choose a material.

What tolerances can I expect?

We guarantee tolerances to ISO 2768-m, which for example corresponds to ±0.3 mm over a 120 mm length. In practice we're usually well within that.

What edge quality can I expect?

Parts delivered raw carry the slight burr typical of laser cutting on the cut edges. Two finishes remove it: “Deburred (ground, one side)” grinds the side the burr is on, and “Deburred (tumbled)” takes it off in a tumbler and rounds every edge on both sides. Either way the parts are ready for assembly.

How is pricing calculated?

Pricing is fully automated, based on material, thickness, cut length, the number of pierces, and quantity, with volume discounts built in. The price updates instantly as you configure your part.

How fast will I get my parts?

So you don't wait longer than necessary, we aim to cut parts within one business day. Order in the morning on a business day and we'll usually produce and ship the same day. Large orders can take a little longer.

Is there a minimum order or setup fee?

There's no minimum order quantity. We make single parts just as readily as large production runs, and we never charge setup fees.

Do you offer bending, welding, or hardware insertion?

Today we produce flat, laser-cut parts. Press-brake bending is coming soon. We don't currently offer welding or hardware insertion.
